The women’s cell in our institution was established with the aim of overall development of women in all spheres of life by empowering them, helping them recognizing their true potential and to provide a platform to discuss their issues. It serves many functions like making the students aware of their rights, helping them to develop good decision making capabilities, helping them attain mental and emotional strength, helping them attain positive personality traits and finally to mould them into self confident, independent and successful women. The cell regularly conducts health awareness classes to make them understand the importance of good health and exercise and to spread awareness about reproductive health care. Taking into consideration the growing exploitation against women, the cell provides students a platform to discuss any of the issues they face relating to discrimination or sexual harassments they face directly or indirectly. In addition to this, the cell also provides career guidance and counseling and various skill development courses.
